Awards and recognition

Alexander Spater has been listed in every edition of the book Best Lawyers in America in the area of employment law, has been named to Super Lawyers of Ohio and has consistently received the highest ratings by other lawyers in Martindale Hubbell, another recognized rating service for lawyers.

In addition, Mr. Spater, either as an individual or as a member of a law firm, has received a number of awards and recognition for his work in civil rights from such organizations as the Columbus, Ohio chapter of the NAACP (President's Award, 1985); the National Organization of Women, Ohio Chapter; American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio (1996); Columbus Urban League; and the Columbus-based Police Officers for Equal Rights.
