Community involvement

Mr. Spater is a member of the:

• American Bar Association
• Ohio State Bar Association
• Columbus Bar Association
• National Employment Lawyers Association
• Board of Trustees at Southeast, Inc., a mental health and recovery organization in Columbus, presently serving as president.

He has been a member of the National NAACP Legal Advisory Committee, the City of Columbus City Council Civil Rights Advisory Committee and the ABA - EEOC Liaison Committee.

Mr. Spater has also served on the Profession Responsibility and Ethics Committee of the Columbus Bar Association.
